Annually, Deloitte organises the Technology Fast 50 awards. With this ranking, the fifty fastest-growing technology companies in the Netherlands are recognised for their exceptional growth performance. Given their significant role as drivers of future growth, these companies deserve special recognition and support – and that is exactly what this competition is designed to provide.
Technology Fast 50 category
The Fast 50 is the main category of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. It recognises and ranks the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands, based on revenue growth over the last four years. If you participate in the Technology Fast 50, in addition to a place in the rankings, you also have a chance to be declared the winner of your industry. The following seven industries are defined: Hardware, Software, Communications, Media & Entertainment, Health Care & Life Sciences, Fintech and Environmental Technology. We also name the Most Sustainable Grower every year. This title is reserved for the company that achieved the highest positions in the annual ranking for the longest consecutive period.
The Fast 50 criteria
To enter the Technology Fast 50 competition, companies must meet the following criteria:
- The majority of your revenue is generated with technology-based products or services
- Your company is Dutch owned & headquartered in the Netherlands
- It is founded on or before December 31, 2016
- You have a base year operating revenue of at least €50,000 in 2017 and €1,000,000 in 2020
Rising Star category
The Rising Star is the award for the most promising tech start-up in the Netherlands: the start-up that the jury estimates will be able to score high points in the Technology Fast 50 ranking within a few years. In this category, tech companies are judged by a panel of independent experts on ambition, revenue potential, degree of innovation and scalability. Known as post-incubators, Rising Stars have the potential to develop into successful companies that stand out from their competitors. They are the future winners. In addition to the Rising Star award, there is the Most Disruptive Innovator Award, the award for the company that developed the most disruptive technology.
The Rising Star criteria
To enter the Rising Star competition, companies must meet the following criteria:
- The majority of your revenue is generated with technology-,based products or services
- Your company is Dutch owned & headquartered in the Netherlands.
- It is founded after December 31, 2016
- You have a base year operating revenue of at least €50,000 over the last 12 months, or a total amount of funding raised of at least €1,000,000.
